David Fischer I love Mantar. Theirs is one of the most impressive live performances I have ever seen: primitive, sweaty and more energetic than most coal power stations. Having such a beloved artist release a new album is always a bit scary, especially after three very strong offerings in a row. Still, Mantar remain untouchable and return with their most accessible (read: 'still kicking you in the balls until your teeth pop out') release so far. Odysseus might be their best song yet. The kings are back. Favorite track: Odysseus.

9RnK7 The boys are back with the grooves that make you want to move (and break things). There is something so satisfying about this album, like jumping into a pool on a hot day. The pairing of the song structures and the mastering is a recipe for many repeat listens. Favorite track: Grim Reaping.

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.
